Baked Sweet Potato Wedges with Guac
Oct 21, 2025This is one my favorite 4 pm snacks. This recipe holds a special place in my life since this is something I made in the beginning of my plant based journey and it was a hit when I was entertaining some guests too! I hope you like it as much as I do! I used @ajab_flour and the wooden board is from @santanaafrica_
INGREDIENTS
Wedges
- 2 large sweet potatoes.
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour.
- 3 tbsp olive oil.
- 1 tsp paprika.
- 1 tsp garlic powder.
- 1 tsp onion powder.
- 1 tsp chilli powder.
- Juice of half a lemon.
- Salt, to taste.
- Coriander, to garnish.
Guacamole
- 2 ripe avocados (mashed).
- 1 small red onion (finely chopped).
- 2 small tomatoes (finely chopped).
- 1/2 cup coriander (finely chopped).
- 2 tsp garlic powder.
- 2 tsp chilli powder.
- 2 tsp lemon juice, or more to taste.
- Salt, to taste.
METHOD
- Cut the sweet potato into wedges.
- Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
- Make the batter with the rest of the ingredients.
- Dip the wedges in batter and lay them on an oven tray.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until tender.
- For the guac, mix the ingredients together and garnish with coriander.
